The Kabobs

Aidan bought Todd Beatles Rock Band for Christmas. We've only played it a couple of times, but it's so nice to have good songs, that you're not scared to let your kids listen to. There is just something neat about listening to an 8 year old singing The Beatles!! Aidan LOVES Rock Band, he wants to be a singer when he grows up, in fact he and a bunch of the guys at school started their own band and I think their name is fabulous....The Kabobs! Watch out for them, they may be a hit one day!

What happens in vegas......

Gets posted on the family blog! Todd and I ventured to WPPI, basically a photographers convention in Las Vegas. We met up with Ashley and Chris and had an absolute blast! My mom came into Memphis and took great care of the kiddos, so we could go and enjoy ourselves (the first time alone since our honeymoon!) We really had a great time with Ashley and Chris, we are desperately trying to convince them to compromise and move to Colorado, that's as far west as we are willing to go :-) Really we had a blast, have I said that already? We went for an amazing dinner the first night and then to Cirque de Soleil's "O" show. It was a great way to end the first night. We spent the next 2 days walking around WPPI and the malls. We ate way too much, didn't sleep enough, and had more laughs than we have in a long time.

We went to Paris and decided to go up the Eiffel Tower. Everyone was doing prom poses and looking all cute.....and I said, "Ashley, let's pick up the boys! She was all for it and all I can say about the picture is OOOO LA LA!"

We were trying to do a "myspace" picture.......Todd's tongue got in and a part of my smile.....nice, NICE!

After walking all day, we headed into the Hard Rock Cafe, now I know why my children are always sticking their tongues out in pictures....it runs in the family!

The last day Todd and I walked and walked and walked and walked, seriously from like 10:00 am to 5:00pm. Our feet hurt, but we were determined to make it to the Stratosphere, and that we did....proof!

You know you're feeling that 70's groove! A couple of weeks ago, we ran the van through the car wash and it was quite the excitement. It's the little things in life that make you squeal! (You might want to turn your volume down!!!!!!)

Todd has been working on setting up a "photobooth" for weddings, so while we had it up, we had to play!

Aidan is 8!!!!!!

No seriously, 8? Crazy! Todd and I asked Aidan about 2 months ago what kind of party he wanted, Laser Tag? Incredible Pizza? (anything away from home? haha) Aidan, being the sweet boy that he is would say, "That sounds kind of fun, or a sleepover?" After several attempts at trying to convince for a different kind of party (anything not at our house, haha) we gave into his big eyes and sweet request. And what a sleepover it was.......We sent each boy an acceptance letter to Hogwart's and when they arrived they each had a Gryffendor cloak, a broom (to play Quidditch), a scar tattoo, glasses, and their very own Hedwig(owl). We played Quidditch outside, then came in for Potions Class and pizza, then we had a hunt for the golden snitch and they each won Bertie's Bots from the sweet shop(jelly beans with flavors like soap, earwax, and canned dog food....gross!!!!). We then floated Aunt Marge around and played. Then opened presents, ate cake, and settled in to watch Harry Potter!

This was the jelly bean tasting.....they had 2 of the same color, one was yummy and the other was yucky...this is the anticipation of, "Is it good, or gross?" 8 year old boys love gross!

Present time....I love how all the boys are so excited with every present....so sweet! Happy Birthday to our sweet, handsome Aidan!

Canon Potter

Canon adores his older brother...although sometimes the adoration isn't always welcomed, he loves to be just like Aidan. Canon had to be included in Aidan's b-day festivities, I made him his own Canon-sized cloak and he had all of the accessories as well. I laughed so much every time I looked at him as Canon Potter. He is a character for sure!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Canon and Quinn got to give out Valentine's for the first time. Todd and I had fun coming up with this idea!

Aidan gave out Harry Potter Valentine's, but he sends his love to you all!

I made Quinn a dress last night for her Valentine's party. She looked so cute in her bubble skirt t-shirt dress!

Yes, she's walking on the kitchen table, the only way I could keep her from running away from me! (and it still didn't work!)
