Aidan's Birthday

Aidan has mastered the art of spreading a birthday out over a week (or two).  He had a friend sleep over the night of his birthday, opened presents on his birthday morning, and had a party at school, and one at home!  Guess being 10 comes with it's advantages.  He is still the sweet loving little boy he's always been with a little spunk!  His fun sense of humor is in full swing now and it's a blast to joke with him and watch him turn into a young man. We have switched churches and he is really amazing me with his insight and thoughtfulness.  The other day they asked everyone what they were thankful for and he was the only one to say "Jesus"  Oh, if only I was like him at that age.  He is a blessing and we can't believe it's been 10 years already!  Happy Happy Birthday sweet boy!

Hunstville

We ended up in Huntsville for my uncle's funeral.  It was good to see my Dad and Janet despite the circumstances.  We went to the U.S. Space and Rocket Center while we were there and ran into these famous astronauts!

Quinn was too short to pedal so she improvised and used her hands!

Dinos at the Children's Museum

Canon thinks he is Dino Dan, so we of course had to go to the opening night preview of the Dinosaur Exhibit at the Children's Museum! 

It's sad and funny to me to see Aidan in this picture.  He's 10 and so this stuff bores him now....how sad is that?  He's no longer a little boy, but he's a great sport at going along with the little ones.  He just looks like "I'm too cool for this mom" in this picture to me...so funny!

First Crush

So I've talked about Canon and his sweet crush on one of his classmates.  It really is quite cute and he gets red faced and shy when we mention her. One day Quinn went with her sister and I took the big kiddos to Chik-fil-A.  Canon laid on the floor at the door waiting for her, talk about anticipation!  We had a great time and if we could arrange a marriage, believe me, we would!

Valentine's

Valentine's is just a fun day to love on one another.  We started off snuggling in bed, it's one of my favorite past times and the kids don't mind it at all.....Yes, Canon snuggles with his legs!!!!

 We made these fun Valentine's for our teachers....the are magnetic book marks! (Quinn calls them check marks :)

 I tried my first freezer stenciling for Aidan's shirt, I made one for Canon too, but he insisted I make him a tie.  I think he was trying to impress a certain little girl at school!

 We made heart hats at Quinn's party.....

 And played Valentine's BINGO at Canon's party, he couldn't look at me, for fear that he might miss one being called out!

 Quinn and her BFF, these two are way too cute together.  She is the younger sister of the certain someone Canon has the hots for.  It works out well, not to mention they are from the sweetest family EVER!

Big boy Canon...

It seems like we are hitting tons of milestones with Canon, he learned to ride his bike.  Learned to tie his shoes and

Got a cool haircut!

 Lost his first tooth (WHAT!!!  This is all going way too fast for me!)  He took a self portrait, how cute is that?

 And started Karate class.  He is VERY focused in class and if I try to be the mom who waves and smiles at him, he just nods.  Too cool and too focused for waving mom!  He's such a little man!

It will be kindergarten and then college!  I'm going to cry now :)
