A 4 Wheeler for Canon.....

Canon's big birthday present was a 4 wheeler. We had a battery operated fire truck that recently had to go to battery operated vehicle heaven...so we replaced it with this. He has learned to do more than donuts, that was just his first day driving. And if you are wondering, Aidan is on the back singing! They have been so good about taking turns driving it. Another fun toy to add to the cove...

What is so funny is that Quinn is in love with it. The second I open the door to the garage she is out and climbing up on it. It will be a while before she gets a ride on it, but until then, she can pretend...And here is Quinn after playing hard and helping mommy wash the car....she was one tired girl after playing in the heat and the water.

Bugology

The City of Germantown, where we live, has all kinds of learning programs/library programs throughout the year, but especially in the summer. We took Aidan to Bugology and he just happened to run into a friend from school, Maddie. They were selected from the audience to demonstrate how bugs are able to suction themselves sideways and upside down. It was too cute! (I missed the action of them pulling each other because I was too busy watching!!!!)

Ducks as bribery....

My children have done A LOT of riding in a jogging stroller...so every once in a while, they feel the need to rebel...so I got the ends of the bread out and they were beating me out the door. They love to feed the ducks and I love to get my run in(my daily dose of sanity :) I think it's a WIN-WIN situation!
Bye Ducks...until next time and thanks for the run! (Look at that BELLY!)

CAKE!

As you all probably know by now, it is Fleming tradition for Todd to decorate the kids birthday cakes.  He has been doing it since Aidan's first birthday and I hope the tradition continues for a long time.  He always does such a great job and the kids love it.  Here is DINO cake....ROOOAAARRRR!  Last post about our big birthday boy......We are so blessed to have been chosen to be his mommy and daddy and brother and sister.  He is one of a kind and makes us laugh all the time.  Happy Birthday Canon!

3....at the Pink Palace

Canon has a new interest, Dinosaurs!  The Pink Palace museum just happened to have a free sneak peak for their new Dinosaur exhibit last night, on his birthday, so off we went!  We haven't had a night off together in about 2 weeks, so it was such a treat to be a family, together, and celebrating little man's birthday.  We had such a good time and everyone was in a great mood.  The dinosaurs were robotic/mechanical, they moved and opened their mouths and yelled....Yes we are mean parents...anything for a picture! This picture absolutely scares me....Canon was screaming to get down, Quinn just looked at the mighty T-Rex and then gave us a little look like, what is that thing, but she was fine...didn't even cry!  She's a tough one!

The Pink Palace front entrance and grounds were too much for us to resist...we had to take pictures, and of course everyone else is looking at us like we are crazy...and we are, about our 3 beautiful kiddos!  They were all in a great mood like I said and we had a blast taking some super fun pictures of them!

And then we went home for cake!  What kind do you ask...dinosaur of course!

3.....at the Waterpark

Yesterday was Canon's 3rd birthday.....he is our funny man, just a cool kid. We have been talking so much about summer that he wakes up every morning, looks out the window and says, "It's a summer day!" Yesterday he woke up and looked out and said, "It's a summer day and it's my birthday!"  Aidan and Canon were running all over the place, I barely got a picture of Aidan he was having so much fun.  Quinn hung close to me and she is such a HAM!  We celebrated all day...here is our first bit of birthday fun at the waterpark...more pictures as I find time...it may be a while:)Happy Birthday sweet Canon!

Guest blog....by Aidan

This is Leafy I made him for Canon. He is Canon's pet dinosaur. I also made Leafy a food bowl.

Dinosaurs are Canon's favorite.

More at the zoo....

Just a couple videos from our zoo adventure

This is her looking at the actual ducks....although everything was a duck that day...

Quinn in her squeaky shoes....look how good she's walking. She's so big!

At the zoo

We had a gorgeous break in the weather on Friay, it was in the high 70's ( a rare treat for Memphis in June) so we packed a picnic lunch and headed to the zoo. We had a great time, Aidan created a scavenger hunt for me and gave me clues to find the animals. We saw all 5! And Quinn really for the first time got very interested in the animals, although she called them all ducks (we're still working on that!) Canon ran around wanting to see everything and wouldn't let us miss one animal!
Quinn loves her brothers, but she adores Aidan. She is constantly calling out his name "A-da"The boys begged to ride the carousel so I let them feel big and go on their own while Quinn and I watched. They waved every time they came around and Quinn would kick her feet and squeal and wave back. Our children NEVER do well with pictures with all 3 of them, they were being so cute, it made me sad I didn't have the good camera.
