4 months old + eating dresses

It's that time again. The end of the month, another month older. Quinn is 4 months old today! We went to the doctor and she's growing great. She's 14 pounds 1 ounce and 24.5 inches long. She is "talking" a ton, she's started to make raspberries, and she can roll from her back to her side (hasn't quite made it all the way over yet.) She loves to chew on whatever she can get her hands on, which is often her dress. She is a constant drool factory as well! Her smiles light up the day and her big blue eyes get comments everywhere we go!

The HIgh Speed Chase

A nice relaxing and quiet evening in the Fleming household. Yeah right! Here's an insight into our nightly entertainment. It's normally this or Aidan and Canon wrestling, always fun with energetic boys around. There's nothing better!

Staying cool, having fun

The other fun summer past time for us is the waterpark. It's a really fun place just a few minutes for home. It's got rubber padding and tons of fun "sprinkler" type activities. Best part-it's free! It's always a great afternoon treat for the boys and not as stressful as the pool for me. Quinn enjoys being outside as well and so we sit and have girl time while the boys run around. Canon spends his time filling up his bucket and pouring the water on my feet. He's so thoughtful! Aidan is into his "muscles" although, he's really thinned out so there isnt' much there:-) It's always a guarantee for an early bed time for the boys and a good nights sleep for mom and dad!

Swimming with Dad

So, it's H-O-T, hot! Typical Memphis, we're hitting 105 with a heat index. We have a pool in the backyard, but with 2 little ones, it's hard to get in it unless we're all home together. These pictures are from the mommy-cam, not great quality, but really fun time with the boys. I had to throw in the "my-space" picture of the girls as well! Aidan is doing really well, almost swimming on his own. And poor Canon, he's in the land of hand-me-down clothing and the bathing suit just would not stay up. It was a source of many laughs for the evening swim with Daddy.

Picking Blackberries

A lady at work recently brought in fresh blueberries from a farm where you can "pick your own." I thought it would be a great thing for us to go do together. It was HOT, but a ton of fun. It was kind of like easter egg hunting for the boys. They gave them buckets and just let us go for it. They quickly caught on to pick the black ones and not the red. It was fun to watch them get so excited about each find. Especially since they both tried one and neither one of them liked them. They enjoyed the "hunt" not the "catch." Todd also picked a few peaches and they are so delicious. It was a fun afternoon and I have a bucket full of blackberries if anyone wants them!

We asked Aidan to eat one more for a picture and this was how excited he was about the thought of putting one in his mouth.

First cereal, funny hat

Quinn is 3 1/2 months old. The boys didn't eat cereal until they were 4 months old, but our little girl is "starving" in the afternoons. At around 3:00pm everyday she was getting so fussy. She would nurse and still act so hungry, so I decided to go ahead and try cereal. As you can see, she was oh so happy that I did! After her belly was nice and full (it took a while and was quite messy), Canon decided to put this silly hat on her head. It was too funny and her facial expressions just crack us up all the time. She is definitely holding her own when it comes to personality.

Party of Five

Yes, it's still hard to believe, but we are a party of five. And let me tell you, life is one big party! It's hectic and crazy at times, but mostly it's pure fun! It's such a joy to have 3 kids and they love each other. It's so neat to watch Quinn look at her brothers and smile at them. So, last night on a whim, this party of 5 loaded up and went and took some pictures out at Shelby Farms at dusk. Todd set up the tripod and ran back and forth to get it, he's so good to us!

RX-7

When I first met Todd, 9 years ago, he came and picked me up for our first "date" in a Mazda RX-7. Well, he traded it in for a Wrangler and I think has been wanting it back ever since. He finally got it! The road trip we took was a lot of fun, and we came home with a 1993 Mazda RX-7. It is the exact year and color as the one he owned back then. I'm just as excited as he is and although the boys are young, it's like instinct in a boy to like cars, especially fast ones! They have both had rides with daddy. Aidan thinks it's the fastest car ever made. It's a lot of fun and so much fun to see Todd excited about it. He deserves it!

Above, Todd about 9 years ago in the "original" RX-7. Below Todd in the "new" RX-7. And, yes, that is the same shirt!
