Batter up!

So it is officially Aidan's first baseball season. Aidan is playing coach pitch baseball. It's his first time playing, all the other boys on his team have played before and Aidan is really doing well. He was hesitant at first, but is starting to learn the game and his hand eye coordination is helping a ton! His first game he got up to bat 3 times and hit each time. He got on base once and got batted in that same time. His team is full of good athletes and they are really pushing him to step up his game. Todd and I weren't sure about hours of baseball.....but we are hooked! I might not have a voice by the end of the season....yes, I am THAT mom!

GO ASTROS!

Spring Break.....the Circus

It just happened that the week ended with the Circus being in town. It was the perfect end to Spring Break. We walked up and some nice guy came up and gave us 5 free tickets! We were so excited. The boys both bought light up swords, hours of entertainment! Before the show starts and at intermission, they have elephant and pony rides. I asked the boys if they wanted to go and they both nervously declined. Quinn immediately said, "I ride it!" She is so fearless! It's scary....we didn't make it down in time, but next year that girl will get to ride on something! It was a fun family day at the circus.
Trying to go ride the ponies.

It was obviously very attention grabbing!

Spring Break.....Shelby Farms

Another outside adventure during Spring Break. I got my run in while Aidan rode his bike and then we ,of course, had to stop and feed the ducks. I think they were overfed that day, because they were less than interested, but the kids still had fun tossing bread to them. So happy Spring is here!

Spring Break....the zoo

The week after Todd and I got back from Vegas, it was Aidan's spring break. We had some gorgeous weather and tried to do outdoor activities as much as possible. It was fun being together and in the sun! We went to the zoo (along with everyone in Memphis!) It's always fun to go to the zoo and even more fun when you run into a bunch of friends!

Aidan is such a big helper. I was getting the camera, the cooler, the diaper bag, etc...and looked up to see Aidan pushing both the kids in the stroller! He's such a sweetie.

And nothing better than ending with a frozen lemonade!

"You can LOOK at it!"

So I get Parent's Magazine....and I am such a sucker. There was an article in it and I started reading it......"Do you feel like you say NO all day?" YES! "Do you want to stop meltdowns and never say NO again?" YES! I has hooked. So one of the strategies was to turn it into what they can do. So yesterday I tried it.....Quinn was about to touch our plug in wall fragrance thingy(very technical term for it!) and I started to say, "Don't touch it" but instead said, "You can LOOK at it only..." so Quinn sat down in the hallway and watched it for about 5 minutes....I was laughing so hard! She did eventually scoot closer and closer to it and ended up touching it, at which point I said, "Don't touch!" Maybe I'll NEVER say No tomorrow! haha

Green Day (not the band!)

St. Patrick's Day was just another day, but we went to Michael's Craft Store looking for Quinn's birthday cake pan and came home with a Shamrock cookie cutter, animal cookie cutters, and a project. Aidan ended up at the neighbors house so I had Canon and Quinn as my big helpers. Canon really got into making all the green animals. We made turtles, alligators, and frogs, then with the left over I made a snake and he thought that was so AWESOME! (his favorite word) It was fun to have a project with Canon and Quinn enjoyed getting into all the frosting (just like her momma!)

Bows, bows, and more bows

Quinn busted her lip....she was sad....so Aidan said he could make her happy. They went into her room and she was laughing and happy, he did it! She came out looking like this.......

What a sweet brother!

Mymom!

We sure are missing you! Mymom came and stayed for a little more than a week (what a treat!) She watched the kiddos while we went to Vegas and they had a great time. The kiddos sure are missing her. Here are a few pics with Mymom before she headed home. Thanks again Mymom! We love you!

The Kabobs

Aidan bought Todd Beatles Rock Band for Christmas. We've only played it a couple of times, but it's so nice to have good songs, that you're not scared to let your kids listen to. There is just something neat about listening to an 8 year old singing The Beatles!! Aidan LOVES Rock Band, he wants to be a singer when he grows up, in fact he and a bunch of the guys at school started their own band and I think their name is fabulous....The Kabobs! Watch out for them, they may be a hit one day!

What happens in vegas......

Gets posted on the family blog! Todd and I ventured to WPPI, basically a photographers convention in Las Vegas. We met up with Ashley and Chris and had an absolute blast! My mom came into Memphis and took great care of the kiddos, so we could go and enjoy ourselves (the first time alone since our honeymoon!) We really had a great time with Ashley and Chris, we are desperately trying to convince them to compromise and move to Colorado, that's as far west as we are willing to go :-) Really we had a blast, have I said that already? We went for an amazing dinner the first night and then to Cirque de Soleil's "O" show. It was a great way to end the first night. We spent the next 2 days walking around WPPI and the malls. We ate way too much, didn't sleep enough, and had more laughs than we have in a long time.

Self portrait before going out the first night....it was FREEZING the whole time we were there

We walked around a bunch of the hotels and casinos, and had to take a couple of pics....miss you guys!

We went to Paris and decided to go up the Eiffel Tower. Everyone was doing prom poses and looking all cute.....and I said, "Ashley, let's pick up the boys! She was all for it and all I can say about the picture is OOOO LA LA!"

We were trying to do a "myspace" picture.......Todd's tongue got in and a part of my smile.....nice, NICE!

After walking all day, we headed into the Hard Rock Cafe, now I know why my children are always sticking their tongues out in pictures....it runs in the family!

Going dancing at Studio 54!
The last day Todd and I walked and walked and walked and walked, seriously from like 10:00 am to 5:00pm. Our feet hurt, but we were determined to make it to the Stratosphere, and that we did....proof!
Big huge thank you to mymom for letting us enjoy ourselves!
