Crazy Memphis Weather......

So living in Memphis, we are no longer surprised by any type of weather. We have 70 degree days, followed by a snow day, then back up to 60 the next day. We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the warm days and got to take advantage of one last week. Canon was napping, so I took little bit out with her walker(she just stands behind it)! She was so funny. She's started smiling and scrunching her nose, it shows all her teeth and she just looks too cute. Here are a few from our outside adventures..... Then we got in the stroller later that afternoon to go pick up Aidan....she is such a model....she poses all the time. Cracks us up! Acting shy......

Aidan is 7

Aidan had such a fun birthday. He had orange rolls for breakfast(his favorite), Todd, Canon, Quinn, and I brought him McDonald's for lunch at school and Transformers cupcakes, and then he had his closest friends join him after school for a little Rock Band. We then took 6 kiddos(Kelly, our neighbor watched Quinn, thank you Kelly!) and went to Incredible Pizza for his birthday party. It's like Chuck-E-Cheese but HUGE(and clean!!!!) We ate too much pizza, then had his Wall-E birthday cake(a tradition, Todd has made the kids their birthday cakes every year). We played tons of games, rode the go-carts, and had a great time! Happy Birthday A-Man!

Carbo Loading

After the circus we were all starving(cotton candy just isn't that filling), so we came home and I made some pasta. Todd always eats bread with his pasta and normally spoons some pasta onto the bread and then eats it off the bread....weird, wacky, but true! So we were finishing up dinner, I was cleaning up and Todd called me over to see what Canon was doing. I have no idea where in the world he came up with this(TODD!!!!), but it was too cute to not share. It just goes to show, they are always watching and learning....Here is Canon getting in his carbs for the day....

At the circus

And this time, it wasn't the circus at our house. We actually attended a REAL circus...with elephants, clowns, trapeze artists, and all that jazz. We had a really good time and the kids were awe-struck. Todd and I were actually pretty impressed with it as well. It lasted close to 4 hours so when it was over, we were all ready to go, but had enjoyed a fun afternoon together and with some good friends. Thanks for the invite Mandi!

Happy Valentine's Day!

So this Valentine's Day, like all of our Valentine's Days, was just another day. Todd and I don't get to wrapped up in all the hoopla.......but as I was coming up with one of my "crazy ideas"(they come out of no where and Todd is left to carry them out for me) I realized just how lucky I am to have the "one" who balances me out....the one who will go along with my crazy idea, even though it is just that......what was my idea? I wanted to take pictures of the kids and arrange them in an X and an O, you know kisses and hugs. Simple...right? Not so much, but Todd let me arrange the kids and we laughed together as Quinn crawled away and the boys moved all around. The end result? Not that great, but what a great way to spend time together and realize, I am with the one who will carry out my crazy ideas.....Happy Valentine's Day! Kisses and Hugs......
Quinn and her funny faces! Canon doesn't carry a blanket or suck his thumb, but his comfort thing is to hold his ear. He does it all the time, how cute that Todd got him in the act? And yes, he is back to his old self.....feeling great and running around like crazy! And our sweet Aidan who will be 7! That's right 7, in just a few days......

The scariest week

Canon gave us all a great scare this past week. Last Thursday, I brought him to the Dr. because he hadn't been feeling well. The Dr. order a chest x-ray thinking he might have pneumonia. It turned out he didn't, but she admitted him to the hospital anyway because he was dehydrated. We went in last Thursday evening, they put in an IV and I thought we would be home the next day, just get his fluids in and we'd have our Canon well. That night, they ended up putting him on oxygen because he was having a hard time breathing. I have never been so scared in my life....he stayed on oxygen until this Wednesday morning. The Dr. decided he was finally strong enough to try it on his own....he did great and we were able to come home after a 7 day stay in the hospital. There were a lot of ups and downs while we were there, but that is the quick version of it. He is HOME and doing well! Thank you for all your help, prayers, and calls. We are slowly and surely getting our wild-man Canon back and couldn't be more relieved! The first one is with his "doggie" Wednesday, off oxygen! They had wagons in the playroom and all Canon wanted to do while we were waiting to be discharged was ride in the wagon. We were so happy to see him playing and up and about....we think there are grooves in the hospital floor from all of our laps around!

10 months

Quinn is 10 months old. She is the ultimate girl in the family. I knew with how little I am girly, I would have the girliest of girls. A few of her recent "tricks" are to play patty cake, she loves to wave and say HI! (It has a southern ring to it, too cute!) she puts absolutely everything in her mouth, when we try to help her practice walk, she holds her feet up and refuses to put her feet down....like I said girlie girl! She is so much fun and going to be one before we know it. She is her Daddy's girl for sure and they look so much alike, everyone comments. Here are a few of our sweet girl.
