We're Proud of our Cub Scout

I feel like we have officially entered into boyhood. He's been there for a while, but I guess I've been in denial. As a first grader, you can become a Tiger Cub Scout and Todd is Aidan's Akela(adult helper). We both go to the meetings, but Aidan chose Todd. So cute! He told me he picked Todd so, "Daddy could feel like he was in the first grade again." Don't we wish! Aidan is so excited to be a scout. We've only had 2 meetings, but he's loving it already. He puts his uniform on and just wears it around the house. The pine wood derby is in January and the boys are already planning! We're proud of our scout!

Princess Sugar Bean and Spa Time

At first I just thought I was being silly, no 5 month old can tell time, but our Quinn, she can! Around 6:30-7:00 every evening our little princess(I tend to call her Princess Sugar Bean, not sure where that came from?) decides that it is time for her "spa" Now that is just a bath, but she requires it. If we try to skip it, she gets a little unnerved. So away we go to give her the spa treatment for the day. She LOVES the bath. She would stay in all night if I didn't have dinner to cook, homework to do, boys to wash, reading to do, laundry, you get the picture. So every night the spa must come to an end.....her reaction?

Still a little pitiful, but she notices someone is paying attention to her.....

Homework Helper

Aidan got home from school and we started in on homework, we're not in kindergarten anymore! So he chose to type his spelling words and got right to it. I was playing with Quinn and calling out spelling words and notice Canon in the kitchen. He pulled a kitchen chair all the way over to the desk in the living room to sit with Aidan. They were so cute sitting at the desk doing "homework" together. And while the boys were doing homework Quinn was playing on the floor. She's not close to crawling, but she can roll just about anywhere she wants so I have to contain her in the boppy so she doesn't roll onto the hardwood. She'll be after those boys in no time!

A Weekend of.....Rest?

Just a regular weekend around the Fleming house, which is very welcomed. Canon got a very exciting ride on the tractor with daddy(ok, it's really just a lawnmower, but I call it a tractor). I took the kids to the Germantown Festival, it's like an arts and crafts fair and they have "The Running of the Weinies" dog races. We went and watched them and had a blast. I forgot the camera:( All in all just a restful weekend, I guess that's what they are made for? We rarely get them, so we feel great this Monday.
