Note to self, do not push children in a stroller while running with a flat tire! It is not fun.
But swinging upside down? That is fun!
And pretending to be Buzz Lightyear, tons of FUN! (can you hear him? he is saying "To Infiniti and Beyond!) We are Toy Story obsessed!
We are busy just trying to enjoy the last week of summer!

Frontyard Soccer
Canon really wants to play soccer this fall, it's hard to believe that he is old enough to. We got the hockey goals out (why do we have hockey goals? great question!!!) and kicked the ball around. It was so hot we only lasted about 30 minutes, but I have a feeling we will be practicing a lot this fall!

Canon BALL!
Canon has been pretty hesitant in the pool this summer, until the other day! All the kiddos put the water hose on the slide and were sliding into the pool. I held his hand down twice and then he was non-stop on his own! He has since started using just water wings and will jump off the side of the pool now too. He says he can do a Canon ball, but Aidan does an Aidan ball! Too funny.
Pool Party!
What's a fun way to spend a hot summer day? An impromptu pool party! We have been having friends over to swim to cool off and enjoy the end of our summer. They played so well together and are always so good to include everyone....Quinn thinks she's 5!All that swimming makes them hungry! Ice cream sandwiches and popsicles make them smile! (Well, kind of!)And when all the kiddos went home, Quinn found a nice comfy place to take a nap!
The Tennessee River
Last weekend our friends Lindsey and Bret were so nice to let us come up and hang out with them at their house at Pickwick. We had a great time with them and the kiddos LOVED being on the boat, especially Aidan. First the boys all tubed, Canon liked it, but was ready to get off. Aidan wanted more so Lindsey and I rode with him for a while. It reminded me of many weekends on my dad's boat. We swam in the River, it was so calm and hardly anyone out there! I did have a few scenes from the show River Monsters flashing through my mind a couple times!!!! It was so nice and relaxing to be there. Thanks so much Lindsey and Bret, hopefully we will have many more fun times there!
Aidan has decided that he doesn't want his hair cut, he wants to let it grow out. It was sticking straight up! So funny! Todd and I call him our "long haired hippie"!

The zoo
We had a break in the weather a couple of weeks ago (it was only 90!) So we headed to the zoo. We forgot about the new section, The Teton Trek having fountains, so my children were without bathing suits. The boys got soaked, but Quinn was a little bit more hesitant about it. We had a really good time. Quinn was really interested in the pandas, it's cute to see her just trying to figure out what they are doing.

Panda!
They loved watching the sea lions and the polar bears this time......it was very slow that day so they didn't have to fight crowds to get to the glass to watch them.

Happy 4th!
Our hotel was about a mile from the river in Nashville where all the 4th of July festivities were happening. We walked downtown and were amazed by the amounts of people there. Todd found the perfect spot to watch the fireworks off the beaten path and we set up camp there. The kiddos were decked out in red white and blue thanks to mymom! We kept them entertained with flashlights and glow bracelets until the fireworks started. The show was amazing! We had a great time and walked back with some very sleepy and happy kiddos. The next day we even got to meet up with Aunt Stacey and Uncle Mike....we had a great time in Nashville.
Nashville
Saturday we loaded up and headed to Nashville for 4th of July weekend. We went to Nashville Shores, a water park and had a great time. The lazy river and the wave pool were a hit with Aidan and Canon. That night we went and saw Toy Story 3 in 3D, we had fun watching the kids watch the movie...Aidan was reaching out and trying to grab stuff, had us cracking up. Sunday we went to the Adventure Science Center and had a blast.
