Canon gave us all a great scare this past week. Last Thursday, I brought him to the Dr. because he hadn't been feeling well. The Dr. order a chest x-ray thinking he might have pneumonia. It turned out he didn't, but she admitted him to the hospital anyway because he was dehydrated. We went in last Thursday evening, they put in an IV and I thought we would be home the next day, just get his fluids in and we'd have our Canon well. That night, they ended up putting him on oxygen because he was having a hard time breathing. I have never been so scared in my life....he stayed on oxygen until this Wednesday morning. The Dr. decided he was finally strong enough to try it on his own....he did great and we were able to come home after a 7 day stay in the hospital. There were a lot of ups and downs while we were there, but that is the quick version of it. He is HOME and doing well! Thank you for all your help, prayers, and calls. We are slowly and surely getting our wild-man Canon back and couldn't be more relieved! The first one is with his "doggie"
Wednesday, off oxygen!
They had wagons in the playroom and all Canon wanted to do while we were waiting to be discharged was ride in the wagon. We were so happy to see him playing and up and about....we think there are grooves in the hospital floor from all of our laps around!
